Maybe it was
Jeremy Clarkson’s bike hating diatribes or perhaps it's the idea that teems of would-be riders are reconsidering conventional transportation due to lower gas prices, but I’ve recently spent time pondering the many reasons to ride a motorcycle.
My Top Ten Reasons to Ride a Motorcycle explains some of the rationale-- or lack thereof-- behind putting your life onto two contact patches the size of credit cards. I welcome your feedback on what motivates you to ride—or, if you’re not yet in the two-wheeled ranks, what makes you wish you rode.

You wouldn't guess we're approaching winter where I live (it's been in the 80s the last few days), but I guess the recent Southern California fires have counteracted any jealousy you may feel about the weather out here.
If it's getting cold where you live and you don't plan on riding for a while, I've assembled an article on How to Store Your Motorcycle for the Winter... and if you're lucky enough to be able to ride year round, what are you waiting for? Get out there!

I've been to more than a few classic bike smorgasbords in my life, but few have compared to the Goodwood experience. Held on an airfield in the verdant British countryside, the annual Goodwood Revival celebrates everything from vintage race cars to planes to, of course, motorcycles.
The pinnacle of the two-wheeled portion of the proceedings is the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, which featured a Le Mans-style running start and attracted racing legends like "Fast" Freddie Spencer, Jeremy McWilliams, and Phil Read.
For motorcycle shots from this memorable event, check out my 2008 Goodwood Revival Photo Gallery.
And if you're into old school race cars, Tony and Michele Hamer over at Classic Cars have a Goodwood Photo Gallery featuring legends like Jackie Ickx, Jackie Stewart, and Stirling Moss, not to mention some sexy Maseratis, Alfa Romeos, and Jaguars.

Here's a conundrum for you: Harley loans you a slick new lid to review, but it's a half-helmet and you're a full-face-only kind of guy-- something about preferring your face just the way it is, not rearranged by moving asphalt. In any case, I'm all about creative solutions, so I
came up with one and found a way to test Harley's Carbon Kevlar half helmet.
Read all about it in my Harley-Davidson Carbon Kevlar Half Helmet Review, and share your stance-- are you a full-face, half-helmet, or helmetless kind of rider?
